Preparations for the annual National Silk Conference
The next edition brings together government, cooperatives, banks and international partners around Nepal's silk revival.
The HFMN secretariat is convening the next edition of the National Silk Conference in Kathmandu — a flagship platform that has, over the last three years, become the meeting point for everyone with a stake in Nepal’s silk future.
The programme spans three sessions: sericulture science, silk processing and weaving, and policy, finance and market. Delegates from all seven provinces are expected, alongside cooperative federations, commercial banks, insurance providers and international research partners.
This year’s edition places special emphasis on the 10,000-ropani cluster model — the operational unit HFMN is scaling toward its 400,000-ropani national vision. Sessions will review land availability, farmer cooperatives, processing infrastructure and market linkage through UTCN’s export desk.
